Since the third version of the Open Street service, released at the end of January 2016, it is possible to export routes.
First of all, the global route consisting of all its steps can be exported in ITN and GPX format. The format ITN was created by Tomtom to import routes on its GPS in the years 2000. It is a format a little old and limited to 200 breakpoints, but a simple drag and drop on the internal memory of the ” Device is enough to follow our optimization. The GPX format is more recent, it is a standard compatible with different geographic software such as Google Earth. Recent GPS devices at Garmin or Tomtom also include this format to follow steps.
Then, in the optimization report that displays the step table, you can export each step with 4 additional services. To see the route of the stage, we offer links to Google Maps, Bing Maps and Mappy. With a single click you can check the information and access the advanced features offered by these tools, such as the Mappy expense report simulation.
The last link, symbolized by a W, is only available for tablets and smartphones equipped with Waze. One click is enough to automatically enter the destination (of the step) in Waze.
Tip: Use the Open-Street application from a computer, but pass the report to the smartphone as an email attachment! It is possible to save the calculation report with the “Save” button at the top right.
The smartphone can thus become a real mobile terminal used in conjunction with our Open Street service, to realize the optimizations with the comfort of a computer, and realize them on the road with the convenience of the smartphone.
